Charles
The charging robot
Charles, the charging robot is the first autonomous charging robot to be deployed in Europe. A revolutionary recharging solution for electric vehicles: with Charles, it’s the charging point that comes to the vehicle, not the other way round. With a single cable connected to the network, an entire floor can benefit from a recharging solution, without any charging points being monopolized.
Charles stores several doses of energy in its second-life batteries from a recharging base installed on site. He then makes an automated connection to the electric vehicles by connecting to a connection module: a box that you plug into your car before setting off and that is available directly in the car park.
Charles the charging robot is the 1st autonomous charging robot to be deployed in Europe, offering a revolutionary recharging solution for electric vehicles: with Charles, it’s the charging point that comes to the vehicle, not the other way round.
Electric cars are on the increase in your parking lots.
And their users don’t need to refuel every day.
Quite the opposite, in fact: they recover daily doses of energy. They recharge as soon as they can, to recover 30 to 90 km of range (or 5-15 kWh).
But these cars are usually parked for several hours, or even days, monopolizing the charging point.
So we’ve invented the best way to optimize your electrical infrastructure: a single cable to charge all the cars in the parking lot.

By recharging 100% electric vehicles exclusively with direct current, Charles can distribute up to 20 doses of 35 km range per day.
In other words, 20 cars recover the range required for their daily journey (6 kWh) over a 12-hour day.
Charles can recharge electric vehicles as well as hybrids and even two-wheelers, thanks to a connection module that makes the solution universal, with normal AC or fast DC 30 kW charging.
Service users place a charging order, indicating their parking time and the amount of energy required.
Using this information, Charles’ scheduling algorithm will organize its rotations, prioritizing the most urgent orders.
If it is unable to respond to a new request, it will, in real time, propose an alternative to the user: staying a little longer or recovering a little less energy.
7,4 kW AC / 30 kW DC
15 kWh delivered with each rotation
35 km (6 kWh) delivered to 20 cars over 12 hours of activity
Grid connection capacity: 10 to 30 kW

Your project
Tell us about your project and get a tailor-made answer. Every parking lot is different. Every customer has his or her own recharging needs.
That’s why our solutions are modular and scalable, so that your recharging infrastructure is perfectly suited to your needs at all times.
Charles charges all existing 100% electric models, plug-in hybrids and even two-wheelers.
The vehicle parks in the space of its choice and uses the ME Charge application to call the Charles robot. The user picks up a connection module from the on-site distributor and connects it to the vehicle. The user can go about his or her business while Charles takes care of the rest: the robot recharges the vehicle before the user returns.
Charles can deliver both fast charging (30kW) and normal charging, depending on the vehicle and its charging compatibility.
Charles is designed to prioritize cars: users enter their orders via ME Charge and are offered alternatives in case of refusal. Charles can also stop an order in progress to prioritize a more urgent car. It offers alternatives for impossible orders.
Charles can recharge up to 20 vehicles in a single day.
